The “Freedom in the Spotlight NYC 2025” event offers several opportunities to get involved and support, whether you are an artist, speaker, collector, sponsor or volunteer. Discover below the different ways to participate and join us in celebrating art and freedom.
General Terms and Conditions for International Participants
1. Event Invitation
The Grand Triangle warmly welcomes all individuals passionate about promoting and developing Africa to attend the "Freedom in the Spotlight" event.
2. Invitation Letter
Upon registration for the event, participants are entitled to receive an official invitation letter.
3. Payment Deadline
Registration fees must be paid no later than April 30, 2025.
4. Living Expenses and Coverage
The Grand Triangle, Inc. will cover the cost of 7 days’ hotel accommodations, including meals, flight tickets, conference access, concert tickets, guided New York City sightseeing tours, and insurance coverage. These benefits are part of the event package for participants.
5. Visa Assistance
The Grand Triangle is an international NGO committed to fostering global awareness and facilitating cultural and economic exchanges. While we encourage participation in our events across the United States and beyond, please note that we are not responsible for obtaining visas.
To assist participants, we provide a recommendation letter to the relevant U.S. consular authorities. This document supports your visa application, emphasizing the purpose of your participation and helping streamline the process.
6. Confirmation of Participation
Participants must confirm their attendance by April 30, 2025, via email at info@freedominthespotlight.org.
In case of changes or cancellations regarding your participation, please inform the Event General Coordinator immediately. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your registration.
7. Duration of Stay
Participants may stay in the United States for a maximum of 30 to 45 days, entirely at their own expense.

ARTWORK SUBMISSION
EXHIBIT YOUR CREATIONS DURING THE EVENT AND ACCESS THE HIGH-END ART MARKET.
TYPES OF WORKS ACCEPTED:Painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, installations.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Originality, artistic quality, relevance to the theme “Freedom in Light.
SUBMISSION: Submit your entry with a biography, HD images and a description of your work.
DEADLINE: The deadline for submissions is May 25, 2025. Any late submissions will not be considered.
POSSIBLE FEES: Registration fees may apply depending on the category.
* You can submit multiple works by filling out the form as many times as necessary.
BECOME A SPEAKER OR INTERVENER
RESEARCH TOPICS: Art and freedom, the place of Afro-descendant artists, patronage and social impact.
TARGET AUDIENCE: Artists, historians, collectors, economic operators, critics, philanthropists and players in the art market.
SUBMISSION : Submit your proposal with a summary of your intervention and a short biography.
SELECTION PROCESS: The organizing committee will evaluate the applications and contact the selected speakers.
